RetailROI Australia Provides New Clinic in Haiti that Will Serve Thousands

 Would you believe it was funded by an auction of a “Box of Nothing”?…yep, a new health clinic in Bercy, Haiti was funded by a RetailROI Australia auction that included $87,000 USD donated for a box of air at the Retail Global Trade Show in Gold Coast, Australia.

Every year top executives involved in eCommerce from all over the world come to the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia in May.  As part of the show there is a charity gala each year, and after Retail Global Founder – Phil Leahy joined a trip with others to Haiti the year before, they brought back the desperate need and video of the opportunity in Haiti.  The trip was with RetailROI partner LifeSong for Orphans.  The money was raised but the initial building they wanted was no longer available once the funds became available.  Undeterred, LifeSong looked for alternatives and just this past month (January, 2020), the new health clinic was opened and eliminated the need for locals to travel over 3 hours to get to the nearest clinic.

In the first 19 days since opening,  the clinic has already seen over 600 patients and will likely treat over 8,000 patients this year thanks to the donations and support of RetailROI Australia and the Retail Global Community.  Bringing help and dignity to vulnerable children and a community at large, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
